PCB Recycling in Estonia
Parts removed from problem products are purchased pursuant to § 26⁹(2) of the Estonian Waste Act (Jäätmeseadus).
Printed circuit boards, radio components and electronic components are more than just electronic scrap. They contain valuable metals and materials that should be returned to circulation through proper sorting and recycling.
BASE METAL accepts modern printed circuit boards, electronic components, radio components, server and computer boards, boards from industrial equipment, telecommunications equipment and old electronics.
Why this matters now
Across Europe, attention to electronic waste, critical raw materials and transparent recycling is growing. Electronics contain both valuable and potentially hazardous materials, so they should not be mixed with ordinary waste or handed over without a clear process.
For companies, this is no longer only about freeing warehouse space. It is part of environmental responsibility, an ESG approach, internal waste accounting and proper documentation.
What we accept
- printed circuit boards from computers, servers, laptops and industrial electronics;
- motherboards, control boards, power boards and telecommunications boards;
- integrated circuits, processors, RAM, contacts, connectors and electronic components;
- Soviet-era radio components: capacitors, transistors, relays, integrated circuits, valves, quartz resonators and other items;
- power supplies, CD/DVD drives, HDDs, SSDs, adapters and cabling.
If the composition of a batch is unknown, photos are enough. We will help identify what can be accepted and how best to prepare the material.
Who this service is for
The service is suitable for companies, IT departments, manufacturers, service centres, warehouses, schools, institutions, dismantling contractors and private customers with accumulated boards, radio components or electronic components.
A separate cooperation arrangement is available for regular suppliers: agreed terms, documentation, collection and repeat batches.
How the process works
- You send photos, a list or an Excel file.
- We clarify the material type, volume and acceptance terms.
- The material is delivered to the BASE METAL site or collected by arrangement.
- The batch is sorted by category and quality.
- Hazardous or unsuitable elements are separated.
- The material is prepared for further recycling.
- The customer receives clear terms and the necessary documents.
Price and batch assessment
The value depends on the board type, valuable-component content, batch cleanliness, volume, sorting and current market conditions. The fastest way to receive an assessment is to send photos or a material list.

Modern printed circuit boards and electronic scrap can be brought in without prior arrangement if the batch meets the acceptance rules.
Separately: data storage media
If a batch contains HDDs, SSDs, servers, laptops or other equipment that may hold data, tell us in advance. For data storage media, it is better to use a separate "Secure Destruction of Data Storage Media" service.

Questions about PCB recycling
Can I bring a mixed batch of boards?
Yes, but it is better to send photos in advance for an assessment. If the materials are heavily mixed, the price and terms may differ.
Do you accept Soviet-era radio components?
Yes, but only by prior arrangement of the visit time.
Can a company receive documents?
Yes, corporate customers can receive documentation for acceptance and recycling.
Is collection available?
Yes, collection is agreed individually and depends on the volume, address and material type.
